Introduction
The Division
of Quality Control at the Bureau of Program Evaluation is responsible
for case reviews, analysis and reporting of benefits delivery in the TANF,
Medicaid, FS, and GA Public welfare Programs. The Division of Quality
Control engaged us to develop an MS-Access based Quality Control Management
Information System (QCMIS) for the TANF and GA programs. The broad requirements
of the new system were as follows:
- A clean
and efficient interface for data entry and retrieval. One of the primary
objectives of the new system is to ease the data entry process.
- Validations
(edits) required to be applied on the data as per the business-defined
process - in order to minimize the data entry errors.
- Development
of utility programs to manage incoming data files from the field offices.
- A comprehensive
reports generation facility.
Application
Brief
Broad aspects
of the developed application are:
- Review
Schedule Sub-System
This covers the entire data capture user interface related functionality
for TANF and GA Review Schedules.
- Manage
Edits
This is basically a rule definition engine and provides functionality
for administration of Edits and the disposition reports resulting from
batch processing of Edits.
- Reports
All operational and MIS reports that provide information based on the
data entered from the Review Schedules for TANF and GA.
- Utilities
This covers all the utilities like Importing data from existing DOS
based system, import/export of Edits and Data etc.
